What’s in that box?

I have always wanted to make a box card after seeing them around for a while… and then I chanced upon an opportunity to make one for my dear friend who’s getting married later this month – wedding cake style! Really love the element of surprise in this one! DSCN6374 DSCN6383 DSCN6382 DSCN6379

Cake cut out are from the Silhouette Design Store, Papers from My Mind’s Eye, Tim Holtz and Teresa Collins.

Thanks for lookin’

Quickie May update

Hey guys!

It’s been a month since I last posted I know. I’ve been away for a short exam study break – but now there is freeeedommmmm…. till I know my results sometime late July – that would make or break when I would need to get back to studying again. Its funny how whenever I study for an exam I would totally hate the whole tiring process, but then once I’m done with it, my head would then say “Hey, you did it man. Let’s do this again.” The grass is always greener on the other side…

Anyhoooo, just some happenings to share in the month of May.

Karan of Sketchabilities selected me to be back on the June – Sept design team! Soooo soooo stoked!

You can view who are my other fellow designers here and we will be showcasing our first work for Sketchabilities on June 15th. So stay tuned! I’m really excited about what’s in stored this DT term cause all her upcoming sketches are beyond amazing (am I allowed to say this at all?) and I’m sure you’ll have fun participating too. :)

Also, I made this quick card for my dear old pal to congratulate her on her upcoming wedding.

(Rubs hands in glee) Till June 15th, signing off x

Valentines’ Card

Just sharing a quick card I did for Jason this year. Used CP’s Kiss Kiss chipboard and gold doily vellum.

On a really random note since we’re on the topic of love (and maybe love songs): I have recently been consumed by the beauty of lyrics in Ed Sheeran’s love songs ever since I saw his “Thinking Out Loud” MV during a random Karaoke session. He is now probably my fave singer after Khalil Fong. Now I am really waxing lyrical about Ed. Pun intended. Now my only regret is not being able to attend his concert next month cause the tickets (which were out last Oct) was sold out within 8hours.

Happy Fathers’ Day to all dads out there! (:

Here’s a card I made for my dad!

Quick and easy to make (about 5 min), using paper flowers and the heart shaped love bonito label as a guide, I layered the flowers on top of it then stuck it to some white card. wooo done.

Card fest!!

Made some cards for my friend and mom’s colleague!

I thought of you today

I remember having difficulty coming up with inspiration for this card cause I was afraid the colours wouldn’t work out. But then as I forced the colours together, I realised working ard the colour scheme I picked this way helped come up with some form of balance in this card. This is gonna be my new rule of thumb whenever I get stuck in the idea flow…

cute photo of Caroline and I! (:

Thank you card for mom’s colleague who is leaving the firm. Used scraps from some old collections to piece this together !
